Our Beliefs
Bridge Street Church of Christ is an instrumental,
non-denominational, Bible-believing church. Here are our
basic, fundamental beliefs.
What we Believe
- We believe the Bible is the Word of God 1 Tim 3:16
- We believe in God the Father. Bible
- We believe that Jesus is the Christ, Son of the Living
God, was born of a virgin, and is our Savior. John 3:16, Luke
1, John 14:6
- We believe in the future punishment of the wicked and the
future reward of the Righteous. Romans 3
- We believe that the Deity is a prayer hearing and Prayer
answering God. James 5:13, 15
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of
God who died for our sins and arose from the dead. I
Corinthians 15:1-8
- We believe that every person has worth as a creation of God,
but that
all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Romans
3:23
- We believe that forgiveness of sins & the promise of eternal
life are available
to those who trust Christ as Savior & Lord. John 3:16, 14:6
- We believe that those accepting Christ should repent of sin,
confess their faith,
and be baptized for the forgiveness of sin into Him. Romans
10:9, Acts 2:38
- We believe in the Lords supper on the first day of the week
Acts 20:7
- We believe that the church is the body of Christ on earth and
exists to save the lost
and edify the saved. Ephesians 4:1-16
- We believe that instrumental music is scriptural and
acceptable Eph 5:19
- We believe that Jesus Christ will one day return to earth to
receive His own and will
reign forever as King of kings and Lord of lords. I
